Chef Scott Peacock and musician Rosanne Cash have been friends since they met at a dinner party in New York City in 2013. “We started talking, and we just hit it off immediately,” Cash remembers. “I think we became friends that very moment.”(Photo by John Leventhal; used with permission)

They met over a huge pan of paella at a dinner party in Greenwich Village nine years ago.

Right away, Rosanne Cash, the meticulous, Grammy-winning musician and songwriter, and Scott Peacock, the generous, James Beard-awarded chef and cookbook author, realized they shared a connection that went deeper than their respective Southern roots.

“We started talking, and we just hit it off immediately,” Cash remembers. “I think we became friends that very moment.”
