July 25, 2008: The Next Record

Hello Friends,

It’s been a while.  I’ve been drifting on the unfettered and humid summer days, not really working, not really doing much of anything.  I got in a few beach days, in Amagansett and on Cape Cod, which was lovely and restorative.  I’ve been watching the complete reconfiguration of my record label from afar and it appears that they will not only not drop me, but are interested in my next record, which is good news.  I have begun pre-production on an album of cover songs, which I have never done before, and it feels liberating and fun. I will give you more details as I get deeper into the process.

Not much to tell, but here’s what I’ve been watching, reading and listening to.
